Tarot Card of the Week: The Seven of Wands

The Seven of Wands — The Lord of Valour
Numerical Value: 7

Divinatory Meaning
Upright — Successful advancement. A time of great opportunity requiring much skill, courage and determination in order to succeed. Strength of nerve, great fortitude and courage in the face of hardship. An indication that success may be achieved through sustained effort. Indicates strong and powerful competition.
Ill Dignified or Reversed — Indecision and retreat. Lack of decisiveness that causes the challenge to be lost. Opportunities lost through hesitation. Giving in just as the end was in sight. Depending upon surrounding cards a turning away from success due to fears of responsibility may be indicated.

Now I am going to be nosey…What is your favorite tarot deck?

I don’t mind you asking. 🙂 I love to chat with fellow bloggers and Wiccans.
My favourite is the standard Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. The Cards of this Deck you see in each Tarot Card of the Week article. I actually don’t own a “true” Tarot Deck, I use cards from a game called Tarock, if you’re familliar with it. It has all the cards of Major Arcana and also some of the Minor, but I currently do only Major Arcana. However, my aunt has another version of Tarot. I don’t actually how it is called, but it doesn’t have the same cards like the “ordinary Tarot” has. Instead of The Magician, The High Priestess etc., there are: Love, Widow, Jelaousy, Death and so forth.
      Blessed be.
