Homemade Herbal Oil

If you want to prepare your own, homemade herbal oil, follow these instructions:

Fill a bottle with herbs (leaves, flowers) up to the neck of the bottle (do not press herbs in the bottle with force). Then, fill it with pure cold-pressed olive oil, about 2 cm above the herbs. Leave the bottle to stand on the sun for 14 days. From time to time, shake the bottle.

Cassandra my dear I’ve got a different method of making oils without waiting fourteen days. I was reading a book by Dorothy Morrison. She says you can take your herbal oil by taking the herbs and put them in your mortar and pestle with grape seed oil and crush the herbs until all the juices are mixed well with the oil. Leave the herbs in the mixture and put them in an oil burner. Light the tea light candles under the burner and let it simmer until the juices are warm. Light another candle and keep going until you can smell your herbal concoction. While drawing the juice into the oil stir the herbs and oil often. When you think its done, then pour the contents into amber bottles. It is fast and easy. I know olive oil sounds good but it boils down quicker than grape seed oil. I hope this helps you make and manage your oils more quickly. Bright blessings. Byrony.
